Myolie Wu

I was watching TVB's 44 years anniversary show and Myolie totally caught my eye with her very sophisticated dress! Complimenting her dress, she wears a very red lipstick, pulling her hair up but loosening her fringe with soft curls that touches the side of her face. The necklace is also very well chosen to compliment her sleek dress. I think she can easily be the best dressed artiste on that day!

Fall 2011 Trends - Androgyny

Oh Boy!

Saw the D&G AW2011 ad campaign and I simply cant get my eyes off the androgynous look of the models. They are so cool looking and I would love love love to pull off a boy's look once in a while but it is a hard style to pull off.

Fall 2011 Trends - Polka Dots

Spot On!

No one can turn polka dot into such a big hit other than Marc Jacobs. He has made the girly polka dot all grown up and becomes incredibly chic and sophisticated!

Following his lead are Stella McCartney, Gucci, YSL, Lanvin and DVF, just to name a few. Each of these designers interpret polka dots differently. Stella McCartney's touches on the dots are extremely feminine and sexy. Lanvin's take on dots are more edgy as it matches them with leather gloves and leather boots to give the whole outfit a grunge vibe.

How to pull it off:

Keep the accessories to the minimal. A pair of solid color shoes should be worn to avoid making the entire look too messy and over the top.

I think the key thing to note is that whenever we wear polka dots, the dress should be well fitted at the waist line as we dont want to look like a balloon with circles all over our body.

So what happen to the girls who are larger in size?! Can they wear polka dots? Fret not!

You can totally choose a dress/top like the ones at Stella McCartney's because they accentuate your womenly curve. Just remember to choose a smaller dot. ;)

Fall 2011 Trends - White Blazer

White Blazer

Almost every girl has a black tailored jacket or blazer in their closet... but a white one? Hmm...
This Fall, we see many designers using white blazers in their collection and it turned out to be refreshingly sleek and polished!

How to pull it off:

The black and white ensemble will never go out of style. You can throw it on a dress, pants or shorts for an edgy look. A white blazer will look good on pastel color if you want to go for a softer romantic look.
